Tamron’s surveillance lenses are precisely engineered and designed to meet the needs of the market. Their extensive line of Industrial Optics lenses include Vari-Focal lenses, fixed-focal lenses, board-mount lenses, and thermal lenses. Their C- and CS-mount Vari-Focal lenses are optimal for surveillance applications.

Tamron subdivides their Vari-Focal lens line into two categories: Megapixel lenses and High Resolution lenses. Each of these categories offers several options for both C-mount and CS-mount.

Tamron’s Megapixel lenses work with sensors that have resolutions of 720p and higher. These feature imager sizes of 1/ 2.7”, 1/3” and 1/2”, two different C-Mount lenses, different CS-Mount lenses, focal lengths ranging from 2.4mm to 50mm, and three Iris control options: DC auto, manual, or stepper motors. The models available are either double Vari-Focal series lenses with 3-megapixel IR-corrected lens, wide-angle megapixel lenses, fast-megapixel lenses, Telephoto megapixel lenses, or 1/2” megapixel lenses.

The other category of Vari-Focal lenses is the High Resolution lenses that work with sensor resolutions of 720p and lower. These are more affordable than the megapixel lenses and feature imager sizes of 1/3” or 1/2”, four different C-Mount lenses, ten different CS-Mount lenses, focal lengths ranging from 2.8mm to 50m, and two Iris control options: DC auto or manual. The models available are Versatile wide-angle lenses, Versatile Wide-angle IR-corrected lenses, Fast IR-corrected lenses, Telephoto IR-corrected lenses, Telephoto lenses, 1/2" wide-angle IR-corrected lenses, and 1/2" Telephoto IR-corrected lenses.
